Wave Energy Scotland is seeking to invest up to £140-160k ex VAT on a further 2 short projects that will help shape its future research and development programmes. The projects will involve “horizon scanning” to understand the opportunities in very large scale wave energy converters and alternative electricity generation technologies for wave power. In each project the appointed teams will identify and characterise the opportunities, assess practical implications, feasibilities and differences to the state of the art; as well as quantify the potential benefits in terms of cost.
The teams will likely be looking to other sectors and to the specific characteristics of wave energy generation to find the best opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.
Applicants will have the opportunity to meet existing WES programme participants or other potential partners at WES’ Annual Conference in Edinburgh, 28 November where B2B meetings can be arranged.
Companies can register to apply by visiting the WES website or registering with PCS.
