Overview

The WaveTrain device is an array of linked floating inclined oscillating water column power modules. Each module consists of an inclined inertia tube, open at the bottom but closed at the free surface by a canopy that houses a pneumatic turbine power take-off system.

Power modules are arranged line-astern, spaced approximately half a typical wavelength apart, with an ‘A’ frame coupling member connecting the lower end of the inertia tubes to the underside of the canopy of the preceding power module..
